Krystal Ng

Youth Program Coordinator

Krystal Ng (she/her; they/them) is the Youth Program Coordinator at the Vietnamese Association of Illinois. In 2018, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois – Chicago with minors in Germanic Studies and Global Asian Studies. They worked with Asian American Advancing Justice – Chicago’s youth program, KINETIC, a civic leadership program for high school English language learner youth, where they gained passion working with youth. Krystal returned to UIC and received a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in Social Work focusing on community and youth health. They interned at the Chicago Department of Public Health, gaining fundamental knowledge on Chicago maternal, reproductive, and child health. She is dedicated to facilitating trauma-informed youth programming from a decolonial and anti-racist lens.
