Matt Small (he/him, they/them) is the Adult Education Manager of the Vietnamese Association of Illinois. He has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) for 11 years to children and adults, online and in-person, both in the US and abroad. He taught in China for four years and then continued to teach in Chicago in both nonprofit and the private sector for another seven years. During his time at VAI, he has worked hard to grow the program by reaching out to students, volunteers, and partner organizations.
