Tracy Thai

Tracy Thai (she/her) is the Development Associate at the Vietnamese Association of Illinois. She is coming to the organization with a multi-industry background from corporate legal operations, local government, higher education, and nonprofit. Prior to joining VAI, Tracy was the Development Associate at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum where she fought to not only unite but to build power and autonomy of AAPI women and girls. Formerly, she was the policy and legislative graduate intern at the Chicago Children Advocacy Center, conducting research to secure reaccreditation while producing a multi-year strategic plan for a 40M dollar capital project, CAN Hope. Tracy has an MA in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University. She is a Seattle native and received her BA in English Literature and American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington. During her time at VAI, she hopes to leverage her expertise to amplify the voices and experiences of Vietnamese Americans and broader immigrant community.
